The Franklin County Association of Deputy Sheriff’s along with the Missouri Sheriff’s Training Academy Class would like to announce the 5th Annual Franklin County “First Responder Foot Pursuit” 5K Run and 1 Mile Fun Walk. This event will be held Sunday, August 30, 2015 at the Rotary Pavilion located in Union, Missouri across from the Union City pool. Proceeds from the event will assist the “Gold Star 24/7” fund, Franklin County Shop with a Deputy program, and the DARE program.
In 2007, the Franklin County Deputies Association began a charitable branch within our organization which is commonly known as the “Gold Star 24/7” fund. This fund was established as a result of a Franklin County Deputy being shot in the line-of-duty in December 2006. This fund, which is managed by the Deputies Association, was established to provide for First Responders who are injured in the line-of-duty in Franklin County, Missouri. Further, the fund has also been utilized in providing for special needs that have been incurred by Franklin County First Responders. “First Responders” are defined as all law enforcement, fire, and emergency medical service personnel.
The MSTA class and the Franklin County Association of Deputy Sheriff’s along with all Franklin County First Responders are grateful for everyone’s assistance and participation in this event.

Awards
5K racers will have their own top three respective award categories: Fastest Male and Fastest Female. There will be a first place award for the 5K race for: Fastest Police Officer, Fastest Firefighter, and Fastest EMT.
